We Create Blog Hop - May Step it Up

Welcome to our May Blog Hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators who love to create a simple project and then a “stepped up” version.  It’s so fun to connect with each other and share creative ideas.  I'm so happy you stopped by.
Simple Version
Featuring . . . the Cool Treats bundle along with the Tasty Treats Designer Paper from the Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog. My simple card was created with a Pool Party cardstock base. The Tasty Treats DSP includes 12 different sheets of five 12" x 12" double sided designs. The circles were cut out with the Layering Circles Framelits in Pool Party and Peekaboo Peach cardstock. Now for the fun part! All of the ice cream parts were cut out with the Frozen Treats Framelits Dies. The little strawberry on top was cut out twice in Watermelon Wonder and Pear Pizzazz. I cut the stem off of the Pear Pizzazz strawberry and glued it to the top of the Watermelon Wonder strawberry. Last, the sentiment from Cool Treats was stamped with Chocolate Chip onto Whisper White Cardstock.

Stepped Up Version
The stepped up version is a slider card. When you pull up the ribbon, the inside of the card moves up along with the embellishment on the front. There are lots of tutorials for slider cards online. I found this YouTube video by Dawn's Stampin' Thoughts to be easy to follow. In the photo above, you can see three different pieces of the Tasty Treats DSP. I am in love with this paper!
Slider Card

If you love this set as much as I do, be sure to order it before the end of the month. May 31st is the last day to order from the Occasions Catalog. The Cool Treats Bundle saves you 10%.
